Day 92: Second-hand Upgrade

The Chromebook I installed Linux on and brought with me is a perfectly capable laptop, able to handle anything I threw at it: Browsing, word processing, spreadsheets, photo editing, even big fat IDEs. But with a low-power CPU and only 4GB of RAM, it could only handle them if I threw them one at a time. Writing something and need to open a browser to look up a definition? Better make a cup of tea.

So I scoured the Brazilian equivalent of eBay and found a 2012 Thinkpad, which is a definite upgrade for multi-tasking. And the CPU, RAM, screen, and battery can be upgraded once I get home, so it can keep on truckin' even then.
